What types of OHSMS programs qualify?
Examples of recognized programs include:

- Canadian Certificate of Recognition (COR) program
- ILO Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems
- ISO 45001 Occupational health and safety management systems standard
- U.S. ANSI/AIHA/ASSE Z10-2012 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems standard
- U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
Suggestions for Institutions
- Work with your safety and/or human resources offices or similar to determine whether OHSMS certification has been achieved, and/or to consider pursuing such certifications.
Potential Data Quality Issues
- To qualify, the institution must have an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) that has been audited by an organization external to the institution within the previous three years.
