IL credits recognize institutions that are seeking innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and demonstrating sustainability leadership in ways that are not otherwise captured in STARS. Scoring in the Innovation and Leadership section is capped at 10 bonus points total.

Suggestions for Institutions
- Work with your institution’s sustainability and diversity offices or similar to determine whether sustainability-equity coordination is happening, and/or to consider pursuing such efforts.
Potential Data Quality Issues
- Documentation must be provided on at least one current entity or mechanism that brings together sustainability staff and staff with formal equity and social justice responsibilities for joint coordination.
